Cisco Intersight Essentials (DCEIS) Training Course

Cisco Intersight Essentials (DCEIS) is an instructor-led course that teaches you how to configure, operate, and automate Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) infrastructure using Cisco Intersight, Cisco’s cloud-based management platform. You’ll work through core capabilities such as inventory and health monitoring, policy and profile-driven configuration, firmware management, and operating system installation directly from Intersight.

In practice, you learn how Intersight brings day-to-day data center operations into a single interface. The course explores Intersight characteristics and licensing, the virtual appliance options, and role-based access control so you can scale across teams and sites with confidence. It also covers UCS X-Series, B-Series, and C-Series compute, plus converged and HyperFlex environments, so you can apply consistent, policy-driven lifecycle management across platforms.

You’ll go beyond the basics and work with optional services that many organisations rely on for optimisation and orchestration. That includes Intersight Workload Optimizer (IWO) for capacity and performance planning, Intersight Cloud Orchestrator (ICO) for building workflows, and Intersight Virtualization Services (IVS) for virtualised estates. You’ll also use the Intersight API and the Terraform provider to automate repeatable tasks, enabling infrastructure-as-code practices and smoother integrations with your toolchain. A certificate of course attendance is included.
